Client Spotlight: “We’ve been choosing the Carey Institute for 3 decades!” (NYS Association of Independent Schools)
Associate Director of Professional Development
NYS Association of Independent Schools
As the Associate Director for Professional Development for the NYS Association of Independent Schools, I host a lot of meetings and training events. One of my favorite locations to bring groups is the Carey Institute for Global Good.
For more than three decades now, their property in Rensselaerville has provided the facilities and excellent customer service I need to accomplish my strategic goals in a setting that keeps my team comfortable and engaged. Whether I’m working with a small group on internal strategic planning, or training a seminar room full of teachers, the Carey Institute has flexible spaces and technology that meet my every need. Plus, being located in Albany County, it’s a great central location for me to pull my people together from all corners of the state.
What’s more, I feel good about bringing my teams to the Carey Institute. Their nonprofit mission and dedication to a strong, educated and just society makes me feel good about my purchasing decision – I know my organization’s dollars are going towards programs that support practitioners and the global good, not just another hotel chain.
And, their nonprofit pricing lets me offer a real treat for non-profit schools who need to be mindful of their professional development dollars. Our teachers are able to enjoy gourmet food, beautiful overnight accommodations, historic libraries and parlors perfect for reflection, and one of Upstate New York’s hidden gems – the village of Rensselaerville – home to the Huyck Nature Preserve, 120-foot cascading waterfalls, and beautiful hilltop views of the Catskill Mountains. We always schedule free time for attendees to take advantage of these added benefits, which add value to our programs.
I really can’t say enough about the Carey Institute — the combination of comfortable lodging, delicious meals, excellent meeting facilities, lovely outdoor spaces, and a helpful staff have kept us coming back for three decades.
